Our Junior Blues have been doing a great job completing their home workouts and challenges to keep their skills sharp for when we return to training play.
Just as important for young athletes is that they maintain and even improve their strength and conditioning levels during this time off. We’re aware that the current situation places limitations on our athletes but these Strength & Conditioning Programs have been carefully designed by Jay Ellis our Frankston Blues Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to allow for this. All programs can be done at home, some have the option to include equipment but there is plenty you can achieve with just your body weight.
Saturday morning we will be releasing our first weekly training schedule for our Junior Blues that will serve to simulate a regular weekly workload, included in this schedule will be a regular Strength & Conditioning session for athletes of all ages and training levels as well as other ‘off-court’ training resources.
