JUNIOR BLUES HOME WORKOUT WEEKLY PLANS – WEEK 1

Hey Junior Blues Families,

We have put together a weekly plan for the use of the HomeCourt app in addition to some other development opportunities we are offering including Recovery information provided by our program partner Peninsula Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning provided by our Strength & Conditioning Coordinator Jay Ellis and our program partner Core24 Health Clubs.

For those that have not set themselves up on HomeCourt, please click HERE. We understand many of our junior Blues or their parents may not have an Apple device. We will be sending out some videos of the drills and written notes so those families can still do at home.

The first week is below, all the HomeCourt drills we suggest attempting 3 times, and these will change each week. The goal is to simply improve your scores with each attempt. We also encourage you to go above and beyond in trying other drills and challenges, but ask that these specific drill are attempted this week.

In the plans we send out each week, the themes of each day of the cycle won’t change. But if it’s raining on a shooting day, and it’s easier to do ball handling in the garage simply swap them for the week. We will suggest some different drills and challenges each week to match the themes.

We will also to continue to send out smaller more advanced workouts like the STEPHEN CURRY DRIBBLING DRILLS: FULL WORKOUT ROUTINE that was sent out last week.

Sunday – Ball Handling

  • HomeCourt – each drill/challenge attempted minimum 3 times
    • Drill: 300 Combo
    • Drill: Single Target
    • Challenge: Slick Handles

Monday – Recovery Program

Tuesday – Shooting

  • HomeCourt – each drill/challenge attempted minimum 3 times
    • Drill: Floater Drill
    • Drill: Single Hand Scoop Layup
    • Challenge: Laser Focused

Wednesday – HomeCourt Challenge

  • Seniors Blues vs. Junior Blues – Prizes to be won!

Thursday – Strength & Conditioning

Friday – Agility/Body Movement 

  • HomeCourt – each drill/challenge attempted minimum 3 times
    • Drill: Vertical
    • Drill: Shuttle Run
    • Drill: Lane Agility

Saturday – HomeCourt Challenge

  • Seniors Blues vs. Junior Blues – Prizes to be won!
