INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

On Wednesday, December 3rd – we celebrate the incredible participants, families, volunteers, carers and supporters who make our FDBA Inclusion Programs so special.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) goal is to raise awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with disabilities.

The theme for IDPwD 2025 is:
“Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress.”

At FDBA, inclusion isn’t a once-a-year thing, it’s who we are every week through:
Ability Hoops
Inclusion Competition
Walking Basketball
Bell Ball (Blind & Low-Vision Basketball)
Wheelchair Basketball

Our programs create:
⭐ confidence
⭐ friendships
⭐ independence
⭐ social connection
⭐ a place to belong

To everyone who shows up, tries something new, adapts, learns, supports others, and makes our courts welcoming , thank you. You represent the true spirit of community sport.

Every ability. Every pathway. Everyone is welcome. Everyone can play at FDBA 💙🏀
